PANCHAGARH, Sept 24, 2024 (BSS) - An elderly woman was killed in a road accident at Prosiker crossing on the Debiganj-Nilphamari Asian highway under Debiganj upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Sajiron Begum, 70, wife of late Abul Hossein, a resident of Patowarypara village of the upazila.

Police said the accident took place in the area around 2 pm when a motorbike hit the woman, leaving her critically injured, said Officer-in-Charge of Debiganj Police Station Md Sohel Rana.

She was sent to Debiganj Upazila Health Complex where the attending doctor declared her dead.
