JAMALPUR, Sept 25, 2024 (BSS) - An auto rickshaw driver was electrocuted in
Melandah upazila of the district this morning.

The victim was Md Mamunul Haque,27, son of Shukkur Ali at village Shahjadpur
Brahmanpara in the upazila.

Police said Mamunul connected battery plug of his auto rickshaw with
electricity for charging at home last night. In the morning as he tried to
unplug it from the socket he was electrocuted.

Local people took him to Melandah health complex where the attending doctor
declared him dead.
