BANDARBAN, Sept 26, 2024 (BSS) - A doa Mahfil and a memorial meeting for Ruhul Amin Gazi, late president of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), were held here this morning.

Local journalists organized the doa mahfil and commemorative meeting at the Bandarban Press Club auditorium.

In the memorial meeting, the speakers said Ruhul Amin Gazi had struggled throughout his entire life for establishing the rights of journalists.
They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

The President of Bandarban Press Club, Aminul Islam Bacchu, its former president, Prof Osman Gani, journalists - Bashar Siddique, Minarul Haque, Nasirul Alam and HM Samrat, among others, were present.

Gazi, also chief reporter of Dainik Sangram, passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital on Tuesday night.
