NATORE, Sept 26, 2024 (BSS) - A mobile court today seized 40,000 meters  of banned current nets and destroyed those at Razapur Bazar in Boraigram upazila of the district.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Laila Ferdous, in cooperation with the Army, led the mobile court. The drive was conducted by fisheries department of the district.

The mobile court launched the drive in Razapur Bazar area and seized the  current nets worth about Taka 4 lakh.

Later, the nets were burnt in presence of officials and local people. No fisherman, however, was arrested in this connection.
