MANIKGANJ, Sept 27, 2024 (BSS) - The World Tourism Day was celebrated in the district as elsewhere in the world today with the slogan "Tourism and Peace".

Marking the day, the district administration brought out a colourful procession in the district town.

 The rally after parading the main roads in the town and ended on the collectorate premises of the deputy commissioner with participation of students, teachers, government officials and the owners of hotel and restaurants.

After the rally, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner with deputy commissioner Dr. Manwar Hossein Malla in the chair.

Besides Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Manikganj district office arranged painting and essay competitions for the students.
