COX’S BAZAR, Sept 27, 2024 (BSS) – A boy drowned in a pond in Cox’s Bazar town this noon.

The boy was identified as Amir Hasan, 12, hailed from Pahartoli area in Cox’s Bazar and son of Ajimullah Majhi.

Local people said the incident occurred at around 1 pm when Amir Hasan was taking bath in Goldighi pond with other boys in the town. On information, divers of Cox’s Bazar Fire Fighters rushed to the spot and recovered his body. Amir was taken to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Residential Medical Officer of the hospital Dr Ashikur Rahman confirmed the matter.
