CHATTOGRAM, Sept 28, 2024 (BSS) – A   youth died and a total of 26 people have been infected with dengue in Chattogram city and district during last 24 hours.

The youth Imran Hossain died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital after eight days of admission there.

Among 26 people infected with dengue in 24 hours, 17 people have been admitted to the city's government hospitals and nine others admitted to different private hospitals in the city.

According to Chattogram Civil Surgeon office, a total of 787 people were admitted to   hospitals in the city due to dengue in September.

At least 102 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the city.  A total of 16 people   died this year of the disease. Among them, 10 people died in September alone.

 District Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam advised the residents to be aware of the dengue following health guidelines.
