RANGPUR, Oct 1, 2024 (BSS) - As per directives of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, local BNP leaders today distributed relief goods among 500 flood-hit people of Gangachara upazila in the district.
 
The relief goods were distributed among flood affected people to mitigate their sufferings, caused by the flash floods, local BNP sources said.
 
Rangpur district BNP convener Md. Saiful Islam along with other party leaders distributed the relief materials at a function at Narsinghpur Dakshin Maubhasha Azadia Primary School ground in Mornea union of the upazila as the chief guest.
 
Each flood-affected people received relief items, including dry foods, rice, pulse and edible oil.
 
Gangachara Upazila BNP Joint Convener and Mornea Union BNP Convener Mir Kashem Mithu presided over the function.
 
Former Vice-president of Jubo Dal Central Committee and President of Rangpur District unit Nazmul Alam Naju, Gangachara upazila BNP's Senior Joint Convener Akheruzzaman Milan, General Secretary (Acting) of Jubo Dal Shah Zillur Rahman, District Krishak Dal Convener Anwar Shahadat, Member-secretary Dil Merajul Dulu, District Tanti Dal Convener Fazle Elahi Duke, District Chhatra Dal Senior Joint Convener Mostafizur Rahman Milu, Member-secretary of Mornea Union BNP Abdul Mamun, local leaders, activists of BNP and its associate bodies were also present.
