NOAKHALI, Oct 2, 2024 (BSS) - A woman died of snake bite at Poshchim Charbata village in Subarnachar upazila of the district today.

The woman was Sandha Rani Das, 27, mother of two children and resident of the village.

Local people said a poisonous snake bit Sandha Rani in a paddy field of the village around 8 am when she was going to collect flowers for Puja.

Sandha Rani died on the way to Noakhali General Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Char Jabbar Police Station Shahin Mia confirmed it.
