MYMENSINGH, Oct 2, 2024 (BSS) - Two people were killed and seven others injured in a road accident in front of Dangri Shamim Bhuiyan Fisheries on Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway at Nandail upazila of the district today.

The deceased were identified as Badal Mia, 35, son of late Amzad Ali of Sutaratia village and auto-rickshaw driver Firoz Mia, 57, son of late Nabi Newaz of Dashalia village under Nandail upazila.

Nandail Highway Police Station OC, Md Khorshed Alam said the accident occurred when a bus and an auto-rickshaw collided head-on in the area, leaving two people dead on the spot.

Police seized the bus. Legal action will be taken in this connection, he added.
