CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 6, 2024 (BSS) - The National Birth and Death Registration Day was observed in the district today.

Marking the day, the district administration organised a discussion meeting at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC).

Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdus Samad addressed the meeting as chief guest while Deputy Director of Local Government Debendra Nath was in the chair.

Civil Surgeon (CS) of Chapainawabganj Dr. SM Mahmudur Rashid addressed it as the special guest. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tasmina Khatun gave the welcome speech.

Among others, district livestock officer Dr. Golam Mostofa, district secondary education officer Md. Abdur Rashid, deputy director of Women Affairs Department Sahida Akhtar spoke on the occasion.

During the open discussion, Jhilim UP chairman Md. Habibur Rahman and accountant cum computer operator of Baroghoria UP Md. Al Amin highlighted the problems of birth and death registration.
