THAKURGAON, Oct 6, 2024, (BSS) - Two cousins died after drowning in a pond at Pirganj upazila here this morning.

The deceased are Rafia, 5, daughter of Delwar of Kusharigaon village and her cousin Safa, 3, son of Sumon Islam.

Officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station Khairul Anam Don said when the children were playing near the pond, they fell in the water body.

Later, family members recovered their bodies from the pond.
