KHULNA, Oct 8, 2024 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced four persons to life-term imprisonment for drug peddling. 

 Sumi Ahmed, Judge of Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court of Khulna, handed down the verdict in the presence of the accused and fined them Tk 5,000 each, in default, they have to suffer one month more in jail. 

 The convicts were Md Abdullah Sheikh of Rampal upazila in Bagerhat, Zakir Hossain of Khulna city, Mehedi Hasan Tuhin of Shoronkhola upazila in Bagerhat and Babul of Mothbaria upazila in Pirojpur.

 A team of RAB arrested them in possession of phensidyl from his residence located in the Chanmaria area of the city on April 16, 2011.
