CHATTOGRAM, Oct 9, 2024 (BSS) - A Madrasa student died after sinking into the Jamiatul Mamur Jame Masjid pond in the West Dakpara area of Baruthan village under Karnaphuli upazila this afternoon.
 
The deceased was identified as Mizbah Uddin, 06, son of Shamsul Alam Mistry, a nursery student of Al Mostafa (PBUH) Islamia Sunnia Madrasa in Dakpara area under the police station.
 
Madrasa Director Hafez Noor Uddin Rubel said Mizbah went to play beside the pond after taking leave at 12.30 pm today.

Locals, Madrasa students, and family members rescued the victim in an unconscious state and brought him to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital at 2.40 pm where physicians confirmed his death, sources said.
