TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Oct 10, 2024 (BSS) – A motorcyclist was killed after a collision between a bus and a motorbike in Mandartala area of Tungipara, Gopalganj this morning.

The deceased was identified as Shibu Sarker, 40, son of Avimannu Sarker and hailed from village Borashi of Gopalganj Sadar upazila.

Pilion rider, UP member Shawpan Biswas was injured in the accident.

SM Arifur Huq, senior station officer of Gopalganj Sadar fire service station, said the accident took place on Dhaka-Khulna highway at around 7.30am, leaving the motorcyclist dead on the spot.

The body has been kept at Gopalganj 250-bed general hospital for autopsy, said officer in charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar police station Mir Mohammad Sajedur Rahman.
