JAMALPUR, Oct 13, 2024 (BSS) - Through the immersion of idols of the goddess Durga, the Hindu community today concluded the five-day long Durga Puja with due religious rituals in the district.

On the concluding day, people of the Hindu community along with idols of the goddess Durga thronged Chhankanda area for the immersion of the idols.

A total of 189 puja mandaps were set up in the district this year.
President of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad, Jamalpur District unit Prodip Kumar Shom Ranu said Hindu Community celebrated the Durga Puja in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.

He said the law and order situation during the festival was satisfactory.
