KHULNA, Oct 14, 2024(BSS) -The World Standards Day was observed here in a befitting manner today with the theme 'Our Shared Vision for a Better World'.
 
To mark the day, Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), Khulna organised a discussion in its conference room with additional divisional commissioner (development) of Khulna Abu Sayed Md Monzur Alam addressed as the chief guest.
 
Deputy Director of BSTI of Khulna Md Alauddin Hussain presided over the discussion.
 
Deputy police commissioner of KMP BM Nuruzzaman, additional deputy commissioner (L.A) Taslima Akter and General Secretary of Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) of Khulna unit Nazmul Azam Devid addressed as special guests.
 
Deputy Chief Engineer of Sun Shipping Md Nazmul Haque, Senior manager of Swadesh BD Ltd Md Ariful Islam and human rights activist Md Abdul Halim, among others, spoke on the occasion.
 
The chief guest said BSTI is playing a vital role in ensuring quality service for the people through achieving sustainable development as well as formulation of goods and standards of services.
 
He said all concerned should play their due role in ensuring the quality of products.
