GAIBANDHA, Oct 20, 2024 (BSS) - A total of 47 persons, who were injured during the anti-discrimination student movement, received financial assistance from the department of social services (DSS) here.

Deputy director of the DSS Fazlul Haque formally distributed the financial assistance to the injured people as the main focal person of the department.

A total of 30 injured persons received Tk 7,000 each, 2 persons Tk 10,000 and 15 persons Taka ranging from 3,000 to 4,500 from the department.

Fazlul Haque urged the beneficiaries to utilize the money for their treatment purpose in a bid to early recovery from the injuries.
