DINAJPUR, Oct 25, 2024 (BSS) - A passenger of a bus died and 15 others were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Fulbari Upazila of the district today.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fulbari Thana Khandker AKM Mohibul said the accident occurred as the driver of the bus 'Noushin Paribahan' lost control over the steering and fell into a ditch in Vimolpur intersection of the Upazila this noon. On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.

Among the injured, two people were sent to Dinajpur Medical College and the rest were admitted to Fulbari Upazila Health Complex.

A case was filed with Fulbari Thana in this connection.
