CHATTOGRAM, Oct 26, 2024 (BSS) - A 26-year-old was crushed under the wheels of a train while crossing rail tracks in Sonapahar area of Zorargonj thana under Mirsari upazila of the district today.

The victim was Rajib Mohammad Roni, hailed from Khillmurari area under Jorargonj thana.

 Eyewitness said Rajib crushed under the train while crossing the tracks at 7 am today at the said area after returning home from the BSRM steel factory.

Sun-Inspector of Railway Sitakunda Police Outpost Faruk Hossain told journalists that a youth died under the train while crossing the rail tracks after completing his night duty from BSRM factory.

Police recovered the body and sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), he added.
