RAJSHAHI, Oct 29, 2024 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an
anti-crime drive arrested an alleged drug peddler with 600 grams of heroin in
the district early this morning.
 
The arrested is Ariful Islam, 42, of Sanhuan Ghunti area under Godagari
upazila of the district, RAB sources here said this afternoon.
 
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden search in the
residence of Ariful, recovered the drugs and arrested him around 4.00 am.
 
A case was recorded with Godagari Police Station in this connection and later
Ariful along with the seized contraband goods was handed over to the police.
