GAIBANDHA, Oct 30, 2024 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident in the Jheelbandha area under Palashbari upazila here.

Local sources said Jewel Miah, 32, son of Bablu Miah of the Board Bazar area under Mohadipur union, was going to Palashbari upazila on a CNG-run auto rickshaw yesterday evening.

When he reached Jheelbandha area around 7pm, the auto rickshaw collided head on with a tractor coming from the opposite direction, leaving him critically injured, said Officer-in- Charge of Palashbari police station Julficar Ali Bhutto.

He was taken to Palashbari upazila health complex where on- duty doctor declared him dead, added the OC.
