CHATTOGRAM, Nov 6, 2024 (BSS) - City mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain said a dengue

management center and a large dialysis center for kidney patients will be
opened soon under the auspices of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) in the
city.

Dr Sahadat revealed this to reporters after visiting Memon Maternity Hospital
of CCC on Wednesday afternoon.

The mayor said the authority would like to declare the specialized Memon
Hospital as 'Dengue Management Center' as the number of dengue cases has been
on rise in recent times in the port city.

"The hospital will be equipped with latest pathological centre to provide
better services to the dengue patients," he said, adding a dengue awareness
campaign will be launched in every ward of CCC to prevent further spread of
dengue.

Besides, he said a low cost dialysis center will be set up by the city
corporation to provide treatment to kidney patients.
 
The mayor said he is pledge-bound to turn the port city into a 'Green and
Healthy city'.
