LAKSHMIPUR, Nov 9, 2024 (BSS) - A teenage motorcyclist was killed when his

motorbike collided head-on with a passenger bus in front of Palli Bidyut
office on the Ramganj-Hajiganj road under Ramganj upazila of the district
last night.

The deceased was Shakib Hossain, 16, son of Md Abul Kashem of Kalchama area
under Ramganj upazila.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Md. Abul Bashar said the
accident occurred when a passenger bus collided head-on with the motorcycle,
coming from the opposite direction, in the area as he was going to Hajiganj
from Ramganj upazila riding on it around 8pm, leaving Shakib critically
injured on the spot.

He was rushed to Ramganj Upazila Health Complex, the OC said.

Later, he was shifted to Dhaka as his condition deteriorated.

However, Shakib succumbed to his injuries around 1am today on the way to
Dhaka, the OC added.
