KHULNA, Nov 09, 2024 (BSS) – A joint forces team arrested a listed drug peddler and ex-Sachiadah Union Parishad Chairman Bulbul Ahmed under Terokhada upazila in the district last night, said an official press release today.

They also seized 170 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, lock cutting machine, motorcycle, two mobile phones and local weapons after searching his residence.

A team of joint forces including Navy and Police conducted a raid at Sachiadah Bajar area last night and arrested the listed drug peddler ex-Sachidah UP chairman Bulbul Ahmed from a residence. They also seized the weapons.

Later, he along with seized materials and lethal weapons were handed over to Terokhada Police Station. Two separate cases including drug smuggling were lodged against him with Terokhada Police Station in this connection, said the official.
