SATKHIRA, Nov 14, 2024 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive held a teenage boy with 10 pieces of gold bars from Bhomra frontier area in the district today.
The detainee was Sumon Islam, 17, hailed from Lakshmidari village in sadar upazila, said a BGB press release.
Commander of 33-BGB battalion Lieutenant colonel Ashraful Haque said, being informed, a team of BGB held Sumon with 10 gold bars in the Falermor area in Bhomra this afternoon.
The seized gold bars were deposited in the treasury and Sumon was handed over to Satkhira Thana police this afternoon.
