SIRAJGANJ, Nov 16, 2024 (BSS) - Two persons were killed in a road accident at Garadoho Old Bus Stand in Shahjadpur upazila of the district.

The deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Ariful Islam Sujan Seikh, 28, son of Dulal Seikh of Bangram village and Bahadur Mia, 30, son of Manik Mia of Jamirata village in Shahjadpur upazila of the district.

Quoting locals, police said the accident took place when a truck collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw leaving rickshaw driver Ariful and its passenger Manik dead on the spot.

Police said they seized the truck and auto-rickshaw from the spot. The bodies were handed over to their families after completion of legal formalities.
