KHULNA, Nov 18, 2024 (BSS)- Charmonai Pir and Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Amir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim hoped that Bangladesh would emerge as a dignified country through reforms in all sectors.

“Fallen Sheikh Hasina and her cohorts looted crores of money from different sectors and sent it abroad, tarnishing country’s image,” he said.

Rezaul Karim said this while addressing at a mass rally held at the Dawk Bangla Square here today.

The IAB Amir said there is no alternative to build up moral values and principle of the people to make a a happy and prosperous Bangladesh.

Khulna City Unit of IAB organized the rally with its president Ameer Hafez Moulana Abdul Awal in the chair.

IAB Amir said Sheikh Hasina committed genocide in through killing hundreds of innocent students and people during anti-discrimination student movement. He demanded immediate trial and exemplary punishment of Sheikh Hasina and her cohorts.

Criticizing role of some political parties, the Charmonai Pir said, IAB do politics for wellbeing of Islam and humanity.

It is not possible to build a discrimination-free state without implementing the noble ideals of Islam and Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as well, he added.

He said country’s people would not accept any interest groups in power in future.

Member Secretary of IAB Hafez Moulana principal Younus Ahmad, joint secretary general Moulana Gazi Ataur Rahman, Khulna divisional organizing secretary Moulana Soaib Hossain, central secretary of Islami Youth Andolon Mufti Mansur Ahmad Saki, central president of Islami Student Andolon Nurul Bashar Azizi, IAB Khulna district unit president Moulana Abdullah Imran, National Olama Mashaekh Aimma Parishad Khulna city and district units president Mufti Golamur Rahman and Moulana sheikh Abdullah also addressed the rally.
