RANGPUR, Nov 18, 2024 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested four alleged drug traders with 60 kilograms of ganja from Charmail Purbo Ramnagar village in Kotwali police station of Dinajpur district on Sunday night.
"On a tip off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC)-1 of RAB-13 from its Dinajpur Camp searched two private cars, seized the ganja and arrested them from the spot," said a press release issued here this evening.
During the raid, the elite force also seized the two private cars used for carrying ganja from the detainees.
The arrested persons were identified as - Abu Bakar Siddique, 35, of village Golapbag in Kotwali police station of Dinajpur, Abul Kashem, 54, of village Basantpur in Chauddagram upazila and Zakir Hossain, 32, of village Mojlishpour Protappur in Kotwali (South) police station of Cumilla and Arman Hossain, 36, of village Shibpur in Nabinagar police station of Brahamanbaria district.
"After filing a case in this connection under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, the elite force handed over the arrested persons to Dinajpur Kotwali police station," the release added.
