CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 20, 2024 (BSS) - Police of Gomostapur thana in Chapainawabganj district recovered the body of an Adibasi child from a pond at Sheikhpura village under Parbatipur union of Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Nepal Toppo, 5, son of Dulal Toppo of the mentioned area.

Police and family sources said on 16 November Nepal went out from home but did not return home.

At this a general diary was recorded with Gomostapur police station on November 17, the sources added.

Today locals saw a floating body in a nearby pond and informed the police.

Later police recovered the body from the pond.

The officer in Charge (OC) of Gomostapur Thana Md Khairul Basar confirmed this.
