SATKHIRA, Nov 21, 2024 (BSS)- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two women from the Kaliani border area under Sadar upazila of the district today.

BGB said they were arrested while trespassing the border illegally.

The arrested were identified as Nargis Akhter, 25, daughter of Mahatab Uddin of Rupsar area of Khulna district, and Josna Akhter, 32, daughter of Mujibar Patwari of Chiddipasha village of Abhaynagar upazila of Jashore district, BGB’s battalion commander told BSS.

Acting on secret information, BGB conducted a raid in the house of one Saifullah in Shikari on border area and arrested them.

Two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.

The arrested were handed over to Sadar thana police.
