NARAIL, Nov 28, 2024 (BSS) - A human chain was held on the district judge court road in the district today protesting the murder of lawyer Md. Saiful Islam Alif.

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (BJAF) district unit organised the protest rally. President of the BJAF district unit Advocate Abdul Haque addressed the function as the chief guest.

Former Public Prosecutor (PP) and former President of the District unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Advocate Iqbal Hossain Sikder, General Secretary of the Lawyers Forum Advocate Tarikuzzaman Litu, its Joint Secretary Advocate Azizul Islam, General Secretary of the Narail District Lawyers Association Advocate Paritosh Bagchi, Veteran Freedom Fighter Advocate S A Matin, Joint General Secretary of the District BNP Md. Ali Hasan, General Secretary of the Sadar Upazila BNP Mozahidur Rahman Palash and Convener of the District unit of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Swechasebak Dal Khandaker Fashiar Rahman, among others, spoke.

The speakers demanded immediate arrest of the killers of lawyer Saiful Islam and exemplary punishment.

People from all walks of life including lawyers, among others, were participated in the protest rally.
