LAKSHMIPUR, Nov 29, 2024 (BSS) - A protest rally was held here today demanding ban on ISKCON, for carrying out anti-national activities, attacking court and killing lawyer Md. Saiful Islam Alif in Chattogram.

District unit of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh organised the protest rally in the district town after Jummah prayers.

The rally was bought out from the Markaj Mosque in the district town which paraded the important streets and ended coming in front of North Station this afternoon. Thousands of Muslims from all walks of life participated in the protest rally.

After the rally, a discussion was also held.

The speakers said Iskcon is a terrorist organization and it must be banned as it wants to destabilize the country. "Lawyer Md. Saiful Islam Alif was killed by Iskcon in a planned way," they observed.

District unit vice-president of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Maulana Kalim Ullah, Joint General Secretary Maulana Noman Siraji and Co-Organizing Secretary Maulana Zahir Uddin, among others, were present.
