KHULNA, Dec 2, 2024 (BSS) - Police today arrested two alleged smugglers and seized 50 grams of gold in the Sachibunia area here this morning.

The arrested are Bablu Dhar, 38, hailed from Rajstholy upazila in Rangamati and Nayan Manik, 26, resident of Fatikchhari of Chattagram, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Labonchara police station Md Touhiduzzaman said.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police searched a passenger-bound bus in the Sachibunia area and arrested Bablu in possession of the aforesaid amount of gold around 8am.

A case was filed with Labonchara Police Station in this connection.
