SAVAR, Dec 4, 2024 (BSS) - A van driver was killed as a brick-laden truck ran over him on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in the early hours of today.

Deceased Rabbi Hawlader was a resident of Rogunathpur village under Bakerganj uapzila in Barishal district.

"A van driver was killed as a brick-laden truck hit him in the Hanki Bhanga area on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in the early hours of today," said officer-in-charge (OC) of Savar Highway Police Station Saugatul Alam.

Police have recovered the body. The local people detained the truck, but its driver managed to flee.
