KURIGRAM, Dec 4, 2024 (BSS) - Police in a drive arrested two people with 3,100 pieces of Yaba tablets from the Sluice Gate area of Dhulauri village under Rajibpur upazila of the district today.

The arrested was Md. Hanif Mia, 28, and Md. Rukunuzzaman, 19, residents of Chengtapara area under Roumari upazila of the district.
 
On a tip-off, a team of the district police conducted a drive in the sluice gate area around 9:30 am and arrested them with the yaba tablets, Kurigram district police spokesperson additional superintendent of police Md. Ruhul Amin said.

A case was filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act with Rajibpur Police Station, he said.

The drive against drugs will continue in the district, he added.
