RANGPUR, Dec 4, 2024 (BSS) - A minor child was killed after a battery-powered three-wheeler van loaded with bricks ran over him at the Dhanshala Dakshinpara village on the Pirganj-Chatra road in Pirganj upazila today.
 
"The tragic accident occurred when the three-wheeler hit the boy while he was crossing the road," Pirganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) MA Faruk told BSS tonight.
 
Locals rescued the seriously injured child and took him to Pirganj Upazila Health Complex, where the on duty doctor declared him dead.
 
"The deceased Mujahidul Islam (5) is the son of Taherul Islam of the same village," the OC said, adding a case has been filed in this connection.
