KHULNA, Dec 7, 2024(BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) of Khulna-6 today
arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 1,187 bottles of phensedyl syrup
from Jhenaidah district.

A team of the RAB-6 went in a drive in the wee hours today at Mobarakganj
area under Kaliganj Police Station in Jhenaidah.

During the drive, the RAB team arrested drug peddler Md Babul, son of late
Zohor Ali of Jadabpur village, while he was trying to flee from the scene
sensing the presence of the RAB men, said a RAB press release.

The RAB members also seized 1,187 bottles of contraband phensedyl syrup, two
mobile phones, four SIM cards and cash Taka 6,700 from his possession.

A case was filed with Kaliganj Police Station in this connection, the release
added.
