FARIDPUR, Dec 8, 2024 (BSS) - Two friends were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Tarail area on the Dhaka-Bhanga expressway under Bhanga upazila of the district, said Gourav Das, sub inspector of Shibchar highway thana, this morning.

The deceased were Emon Khalasi, 22, son of Jhantu Khalasi and Ramjan Khan, 20, son of Toukir, residents of Raipara Sadardi village under Bhanga upazila of the district.

Police said the accident took place in the area on Saturday evening when a sand-laden truck crushed them, leaving Emon dead on the spot and wounded two others.

The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. Later, Emon was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries last night.

A case was filed in this connection.
