DHAKA, Dec 8, 2024 (BSS) - Navy-led joint forces detained an alleged dacoit from Kandrakpur area of Rajapur Union under Bhola district today.

The arrested was identified as Shajahan Farazi alias Saju Mazi.

'Three local guns (single-barreled) were also recovered from his possession . . . he is an accused in several criminal cases including, robberies in different areas of the district," said an Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) this evening.

Subsequently, the detainee was handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station for taking legal action, the ISPR release also said. 

Bangladesh Navy' is conducting a regular campaign to eliminate drugs and terrorism as part of 'In Aid to Civil Power' in order to implement the government's instructions at the changed situation.
