JOYPURHAT, Dec 9, 2024 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 59 kilograms of hemp from the Vadsha area in Sadar upazila here last night.

The arrested was Ibrahim, 30, son of Kafil Uddin, a resident of Bakhrabad-Balbadi village under Muradnagar upazila in Cumilla district.

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the aforesaid area at midnight and arrested Ibrahim in possession of the hemp after searching a minitruck, a RAB official said.

A case was filed with Joypurhat Sadar Police Station in this connection.
