BANDARBAN, Dec 9, 2024 (BSS) - A 64-year old woman was trampled to death by a 
wild elephant in Lama upazila of the district last night.

The incident took place around 6pm at Himchharipara under Fasiakhali union of 
the upazila.

The deceased was Fatema Jannat, wife of Abul Hossain, a resident of the area. 

Confirming the incident, Forest Officer of Lama Sadar Range AKM Ata Elahi 
said the woman was stampeded by wild elephants while she came out of home 
responding to a call of nature.
