CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 9, 2024 (BSS) - International Anti-Corruption Day was observed in a befitting manner in Chapainawabganj today with the theme "Uniting with Youths against Corruption: Shaping tomorrow's Integrity."
Chapainawabganj District Administration and District Corruption Prevention Committee jointly formed a human chain and organised a discussion in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
The day's programs started with the hoisting of the national flag and singing the national anthem at 9 am.
Later, the DC Md Abdus Samad inaugurated the programs by releasing balloons and festoons.
A discussion was held with the president of the Chapainawabganj District Corruption Prevention Committee, Principal Md. Ibrahim Hossain, in the chair.
Superintendent of Police of Chapainawabganj Md. Rezaul Karim and Civil Surgeon Dr. S.M. Mahmudur Rashid spoke at the meeting as special guests.
The Committee of the Concerned Citizens (CCC) and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) chalked out daylong programs to mark the day.
The programs include a human chain, discussion meetings, and cultural events.
