KISHOREGANJ, Dec 10, 2024 (BSS) - Two persons were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a microbus and CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Ali Akbari area on the Kishoreganj-Bhairab highway under Kuliarchar upazila of the district today.

One of the deceased was identified Helal Bhuiyan, 50, a resident of Daudkandi area of the upazila. The identity of the CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver could not be known.

Police said the accident took place when a Bhairab-bound microbus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 7 am, leaving two dead on the spot and injuring three others CNG passengers.

The wounded were taken to Zahirul Islam Medical College Hospital. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhairab Highway Thana M Saju Miah confirmed the matter.
