KISHOREGANJ, Dec 11, 2024 (BSS) - Police arrested an Awami League leader from Hossainpur Pourasabha's Dhekia area here last night on charges of carrying out attack on students during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

The arrested is Mustafijur Rahman Mobaris, general secretary of Hossainpur Pourasabha.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hossainpur police station Maruf Hossain today said police arrested Mobaris last night as he is accused in a case over carrying out attack on student-people procession at Kishoreganj district town during the anti-discrimination movement.

Later, he was handed over to the Sadar Model Police Station.
