MANIKGANJ, Dec 12, 2024 (BSS) - The ferry movement between Paturia-Daulatdia
and Aricha-Kazirhat river routes in the district remained suspended from the
early hours on Thursday due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
 
Manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat
Md Jamal Uddin today said all the ferries loading with vehicles and
passengers are waiting at the Ghats from 3.30 am as the dense fog blanketed
the river bed.

"Dense fog is a natural phenomenon. It will not be possible to operate
ferries until the fog clears," he added.
