CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 12, 2024 (BSS)- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered
394 bottles of phensedyl from Shibganj frontier area in the district this
morning.

BGB said, acting on detective information, a patrol team of the BGB-59
battalion from Shialmara border outpost conducted a raid in a bamboo bush at
Shialmara village under Shahbajpur union of Shibganj upazila about 500 yards
inside Bangladesh territory from border Pillar No. 187/11-S around 4.35am and
found the bottles of phensedyl in an abandoned condition.
 
Later, the seized contraband items were handed over to the police of Shibganj
thana, the sources said, adding, "A general diary (GD) was filed with the
concerned police station in this connection."
