GAZIPUR, Dec 12, 2024 (BSS) - Four people were killed in a road accident in Chandana-Chourasta area on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway of the city on Wednesday night.

The deceased were Saleha Akter, 26, Imran hossain Rajon, 38, Md Mamun, 23 and Md Dulal, 42.

Duty officer of Bason Thana sub inspector Kamrul Islam said the accident took place in the area around 11:30 pm when an auto-rickshaw got smashed between a truck and a covered van after being hit by the truck, leaving one dead on the spot and three others injured critically.

The injured were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
