BOGURA, Dec 14, 2024 (BSS) - A total of 1,000 blankets were distributed among the poor, cold-hit people in Sadar upazila of the district today.

In response to the call of Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), former vice-chairman and former general secretary of Sadar upazila BNP Mahidul Islam Gafur distributed the blankets among the poor people on Matidali School and College ground here this morning.

Speaking at the program, he urged the affluent people of the society to stand beside the cold-affected poor people to reduce their sufferings.

Former president of Zila Krishak Dal Rafikul Islam, former president of the district town Jubodal Ensan Ali Sheikh, student leader Advocate Salim Rana and BNP leader Motiur Rahman were present, among others.
