SATKHIRA, Dec 17, 2024 (BSS) - Two friends were killed in a head-on
collision between their motorcycle and a truck in Choighoria area on the
Satkhira-Jashore highway in Sadar upazila here today.

The deceased were identified as Joy, 20, son of Jamal Uddin, of Munjitpur in
the the district and his friend Tanjimul Hasan Sihab, 19, son of Habibullah
Gazi, a resident of Shibtatla village of the upazila.

The accident occurred in the area around 3.30 pm when the motorcycle collided
head-on with the a sand-laden truck, leaving the duo dead on the spot, said
Saminul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of Satkhira Sadar Police Station.

Police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent those to Sadar Hospital
morgue for postmortem, he said.
